TED Membership Rules

Effective from August 20th, 2012 :

Article 1 : Regular Members 
A minimum level of Open Water Diver, or equivalent certification, is required. For any new member an evaluation dive with a TED Instructor will be required to access the diver level and facilitate his integration in the group. To participate to more than one trip, divers will need to comply with TED Administrative requirements.
Are considered Regular Members, divers who  answered to TED administrative requirements :

- DAN Insurance

- TED Registration Form

Under Regular Member status, divers will be informed automatically of any TED activity and benefit of all TED advantages. 

Article 2 : Regular Members Registration
To register Regular Members candidates can send an email TED Bureau  providing their contact details (tokyoeuropeandivers@yahoo.com). A confirmation will be provided shortly.

Article 3 : Membership Renewal
Membership is valid for one year (from June to May). To renew divers will simply sign the latest  TED registration form and provide a proof of renewal of their insurance coverage.

Article 4 : Compulsory Diving Insurance Requirements
Regular Members participating to TED diving  trips must be covered by DAN Japan Diving Insurance (or any diver insurance coverage deemed equivalent by TED bureau). 
DAN Japan provides an international coverage for a yearly 5,000 jpy (death, medical and rescue). DAN Japan Insurance Coverage can be contracted online at :

Article 5 : Buddy Diving

"Buddy Diving" (autonomy) will be the base for all TED dives, and for any members independently of his level. 

When becoming Regular Members, divers have to comply with TED Administrative requirements.  Forms will be provided at the time of registration.
